They WONN~!!!

Well we just got done watching the finals of the women's beach volleyball and Misty May/ Kerri Walsh did it once again....and grabbed the gold~!! Yayyy. Watching the Olympics has definitely made me miss the good ol' volleyball days :(. Anyways on to a much more interesting and happier note, the girls have had a good week so far. Since it's been so rainy all week I've tried thinking of fun things we could do. So yesterday after I picked them up from daycare we went up to Jump-for-Joy for free jump. The girls love to go down the huge blow up slide and jump on everything. After we left there we went to Samurai and ate dinner. It was kind of a late night we didn't get home til almost 8 and the girls didn't get in bed til almost 9, but at least we had fun!! I did forget my camera though so there's no pictures from that night. Today after we left Ashlyn's speech therapy we took a quick trip to Wal-mart and grabbed a couple goodies. The girls favorite thing from the shopping trip was some foam tiaras that we bought, which they got to decorate once we got home. Here's a few pics. of Princess Ash and Princess Bay:

I don't think it gets much cuter than that!!!

And this was later on in the day after it had rained when Bay and Ash spotted a rainbow in the sky. Bailey named it the "Bailey Rainbow", and when I said well let's call it the "Ash and Bay Rainbow" she thought it would be better to just let Ashy have the clouds ha ha. They never cease to amuse me. But anyways here they are in front of the rainbow:

And this is just another pic. we took before church Sunday that I thought was adorable (of course :)

Well this is my last free week til school starts back up and of course I have come down with a cold, but hopefully it will be gone by tomorrow or Friday. I'm just ready to have a nice relaxing weekend and hopefully without rain.

Finally the weekends here!!

Well this week kind of seemed to drag by for some reason. Fall semester starts back up for me in a little over a week and I am definitely not ready yet (but then again when am I??). But Seth and I did have fun last night, mom watched the girls for us and we went to hang out with my brother and a few Friends at their house. We sat on the patio for a while then went in and played cards, it's always nice to kinda get away and have time with our Friends!! Today was one of my best friends birthday- Leslie~!! She turned 24 today, wow can't believe we're getting that old (OK, maybe not OLD but to me it seems old :). So I think that tomorrow me and the girls are going to meet her and her niece at the swim park either here in town or in Iowa Park, so that should be fun. But I HAVE to get some cleaning done before I do anything because I've been slacking since I've gotten back from vacation. Well this is going to be a short post cause I'm ready for bed, tomorrows going to be a long day. Oh yea if anyone recorded the gymnastics girls all around (Olympics) let me know cause I missed the last half of it and I wanna see it!!! *goodnight*

Sunday Funday

Well today was a busy one for this household. We woke up early and took baths and got all pretty and dolled up because we visited First Baptist. It was our first time to go there, we have been saying that we were gonna visit for quit a while but usually just end up at Faith since it's so much closer and we are the family that is always late to everything, lol. The girls went to the 4 year old room and met a new freind and enjoyed it from what I could tell. Seth and I really really enjoyed it, but the actual preacher was out of town so it was just the youth pastor that did the sermon so we are looking forward to going again next week to see if we like his sermons too. We were very impressed with how nice and accepting EVERYONE there was. I really think that before too long this is the church we will decide to join as a family, and within the next week or so we're going to try out their Sunday school as well. After church we decided to go eat at Jalapeno Tree which was delicious and relaxing (and lovely considering I didn't have to worry about cooking dinner either because we had so much left over). Then we spent all afternoon at the Drozd's house because ol' Scoot-poot graduated from the college in San marcos and Debbie and Herb were throwing him a graduation party. The girls had a blast but missed their nap, so on the way home they passed out as soon as we left the driveway. They had so much fun with Chrissy and Sherri's little ones but were deffinitly exhausted and ready to go home as well (and not to mention I had told Seth we would only stay for a few minutes and ended up staying almost 3 hours so he wasn't much of a happy camper either...but he was a good sport and I apreciated it ;). So now I am going to go lay down and attempt to watch a movie with my love and try not to fall asleep, ha. I put a few pictures of the girls and boots that I attempted to shoot this morning before church (the sun was so bright they couldn't keep their eyes open though and the picture of boots was taken over the fence so you can't see his head ha). And also, the first one is from when me and Seth went on a date to the bowling alley, in which I beat him both games that we played haha, but of course he will have an excuse I'm sure if you ask him about it :). I haven't done much bragging about him yet, but he does deserve alot of thanks because ever since I've gotten home from Colorado he has been absolutly the best boyfriend and is very much responsible for putting me in such a great mood this weekend.... I love him to death~!! Well all in all, I had an extremly fun and wonderful weekend and I hope that everyone else did as well. Also, I hope everyone starts their week off great tommorrow and that Monday isn't too dreadful for yall. Ciao until next time...

Breaking into the "blog world"

Well for the past month or so I've been reading and admiring one of my friends blogs with all of her new recipes that she has been trying out and the updated pictures that she shares for all of her family and friends to keep them updated on her "life as a wife" :). I try and keep my family updated through e-mail simply with pictures of the girls, but I have never thought about starting a blog in order to keep a more detailed description as to what we are up to in our day to day lives. So here I am with my first post and pretty excited I will have to say. This summer has flown by and before too long I'm going to be starting back to school for fall semester. The girls have been taking dance class all summer and have really enjoyed it, so I'm sure we will be enrolling for the fall as well. I am in the process of trying to figure out where I will be sending the girls for daycare/preschool starting in August. They are currently attending a daycare that I haven't been too impressed with because of a few different reasons (but I won't bore you with that mumbo-jumbo). I have many other updates to share with everyone, but I am going to leave you all with this for now until I have more time to sit down and type about it. But I wanted to end with a few pictures that I took of the girls today with my NEW camera Dad bought me yesterday that I must say takes incredible pictures. I went to Colorado on vacation this week and bought the girls these fairy dress outfits from a store in Durango and they love them. I hope yall enjoy and read these blogs as much as I enjoy doing them, and if you have any questions or want any of the pictures just let me know and I can answer/e-mail you with them.
Ashlyn and Bailey after dancing around in the living room for a while being fairy princesses :). The bottom of the dresses have little jingle bell things on the fabric which are quit entertaining as well, ha.
Bailey had gotten in a bit of trouble for telling me "NO" so she had to spend a little while in time out, and wasn't being too co-operative for the end of the photo shoot....but she still looks precious as always.
And of course my little Ashy is always ready to pose for the camera. She had been sick earlier this morning but you could never tell???

P.S. : Thank you Amanda "my life as a wife" for introducing me to this lovely form of spending my spare time wisely :)....I know that my family and everyone else appreciates it as well~!!!
